In the summer of 2015, I had my first professional internship with an institution that had been a part of my life since before I was even a thought. The Medical University of South Carolina was where my parents met in medical school and where my mom worked in the Emergency Medicine Department, and where I ended up spending the summer with the Marketing and Brand Development Department. It was a hit the ground sprinting kind of internship, with a huge re-brand having just taken place, and a new campaign to build a new Children’s Hospital being launched a week after I walked in the door. There was always a fire to put out and I was never bored, but I also learned more about the path that I wanted to go down in life. I thrive in the creative side of business, and above you can see some of the work I did during this internship. The bus wrap was only supposed to last for two years, but it is still driving around downtown Charleston today. The image on the right is a illustration piece that I collaborated on for the internal medical journal.
